Hello everyone! My name is Grace. I am from the beautiful Cleveland, Ohio. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Administration from Boston University. While I was in school, I worked at this fantastic little bakery/cafe in the South End that fueled my desire to become a pastry chef. After graduation, I was invited to join the US Peace Corps as a small business development volunteer in Burkina Faso and I could not pass up an opportunity like that! After almost two years in West Africa, I came back to the states and moved to Austin, Texas. I guess I wasn’t ready to give up the nice warm weather! I graduated from culinary school here in Austin and have been working in the hospitality industry as a pastry chef or manager for the past 9 years. Cake decorating is really my passion and I have turned it into an at-home business, Bulldog Cake Company. You can see some of my cake creations on my website. I’ve decided to start this blog to share some of my knowledge and inspire others to get baking!
